OU Students Association (OUSA)

We exist to make a positive difference to all OU students and to ensure the OU is more than just a place of learning - it's a student community operating via a network of student volunteers, including representatives across the Nations.

We manage the Student Advice Service, support groups, the volunteering zone, the Hoot (our online magazine) and the OU Students Shop.

Open College of Arts (OCA)

Founded in 1987 by Michael Young, one of the founders of the OU, the Open College of Arts (OCA) is grounded in the same ethos and values as the OU.  The OU has acquired the Open College of Arts as a wholly owned subsidiary institution (a separate legal entity). Working closely with colleagues across the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences presents us with an opportunity to expand The Open University's capabilities in the arts, and widen our offering especially in the fields of visual, applied, and graphic arts.
