About the Role

As part of the People Services Organisation Development and Effectiveness (OD&E) Team, the postholder will play a critical role in supporting and coordinating OD&E strategies and initiatives to support organisational development and learning within the OU. 
Working in partnership with colleagues, you will help coordinate our OD&E programmes, projects and initiatives across the OU.   
Whilst this role will formally report directly to either the HoD or HoCE you will be expected to provide support across OD&E as needed, working closely with a team of OD&E Partners, People Business Partners, and key stakeholders across the University.  

Key Responsibilities

•Support OD&E function in coordinating and delivering OD&E projects, programmes and initiatives across the OU
•Support the design and creation of development and learning materials, project plans, documents and slides
•Build and maintain a range of OD&E documents and online resources including those on the Learning Management System
•Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
•Coordinate project tasks to specific timelines ensuring effective delivery of project objectives
•Support OD&E in ensuring compliance with agreed policies and procedures
•Support the management of the finances related to OD&E projects, ensuring that projects stay compliant and on budget
•Proactively identify potential issues and actively seeking solutions and escalating as appropriate

•Effective communication and team working skills. Able to communicate effectively across a variety of projects and work streams to support positive OD&E outcomes
•Experience of managing online platforms in diverse organisational settings
•Excellent planning and organisation skills, able to work with multiple and priorities and respond to emerging needs
•Outcome focused with a strong customer service mindset
•Is personally able to design and facilitate learning and development solutions
•Has a customer service mindset with an appropriate level of flexibility
•Excellent collaborative and team working skills that results in effective delivery
•Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with a range of different stakeholders

•Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines successfully and efficiently
•Can easily adapt to  and use new technologies
•Demonstrates and role models our organisational values

It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted for this role, where the successful candidate can work from home and the office. However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. We anticipate this being twice per month on average.
